Will my employer accept an online medical certificate?+
In most cases, yes. A certificate from an AHPRA‑registered doctor after a real consultation is a valid medical document under the Fair Work Act 2009. Some workplaces have their own policies — worth checking yours.
Will I definitely get a sick certificate?+
No. The doctor assesses you during a real‑time consult and only issues a certificate where clinically appropriate.
